The Cotton Gang has one goal, make great t-shirts. How do we do this you ask? We find artists we like, give them a blank canvas and see what kind of crazy things they can do. Some of them are funny, some of them are crazy and some of them are just awesome. Because we are all about the artist at The Cotton Gang a large portion of the sale goes to the artist so they can continue to make great things and not have to waste their time waiting tables and working for the man. This is coupled with our belief that art in its purest form is a agent for change which is why we are taking two dollars from every shirt and donating it to a specific charity of our choosing, with a specific aim in mind. We hope that you enjoy our shirts and have as much fun with them as we do.

The Cause

Two dollars from every shirt will be going to Miami's Kristi House. In the state of Florida they have privatized many of the social services, leaving many groups fighting for money from the state and trying to come up with clever ways to raise funds. Kristi House is the Miami-Dade center for abused children and they offer treatment and care for any child abused in Miami. Usually these children are poor and lack the resources to get the help they need in order to lead a productive life. Child abuse is a cyclical pattern with the abused often becoming the offenders. In order to stop the pattern these children must receive the proper therapy, guidance and support to believe that they can have a normal and respected life. It is our goal with this first run of shirts to help pay for some of this therapy and help put Kristi House out of business by ending the cycle of abuse.
